Drop and Swap at RA Centre
Do you have gently used spring/summer items looking for a new home?
Join Ottawa South Eco-Action Network (OSEAN), Eco West Enders and the City of Ottawa for a free Swap event on April 25th at the RA Centre, Clark Hall! More info here.
How it works:
Drop-off items**: Friday April 24th from 5 – 8 pm or Saturday morning between 9-12 p.m.
Each Individual can drop off 2 large shopping bags. If you have “semi-bulky” items to drop off, please contact us.
“Shop” for items: Saturday April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.! Shop for free even if you have nothing to bring!
**Please ensure they are clean and in good condition. List of accepted items listed below.


Accepted Items:
Please bring items that are clean, in good condition, and can be carried by one
person on the bus, for example, including:
Essentials
– Sleeping equipment (sleeping bags, tents, air mattresses without leaks, etc.)
– Kitchen utensils (forks + knives, can openers, spatulas, ladels, etc)
– Kitchen small appliances (rice cooker, slow cooker cooker, microwave) functioning
– Dish sets (and individual Plates, bowls, cups)
– Mugs
– Cooking /kitchen items (frying pans, casserole dishes, cookie sheets, pots, etc)
– Glass and plastic food containers (*New: bring your unmatched lids/bottoms too!)
– Storage Containers (totes, rubbermaid, etc)
Entertainment / Hobbies
– Summer sports equipment (tennis rackets, soccer balls, shin pads, in-line skates, swim googles, etc.)
– Books
– Puzzles and Board Games (please let us know if pieces are missing -we will still accept them but want to be transparent)
– Art and craft supplies (canvasses, markers, crayons, scissors, rulers, etc.) (working condition please)
– Stationary items (notebooks, paper, staplers)
– DVDs and DVD players
– Sewing supplies, Sewing Machines and fabric
– Gardening supplies (tools, watering cans, decorative plant pots, work gloves, gardening shears etc)
Personal items (freshly laundered please)
– Freshly cleaned bedding and linens
– Heavy Blankets (laundered)
– Adult outdoor shoes – Size clearly marked.
– Children outdoor shoes – Size clearly marked.
– Jackets (size clearly marked)
– Waterproof rain gear (jackets, umbrellas, boots)
– Backpacks
New! “Semi-Bulky” Items = things that can be carried by one person
– Large storage containers (clean)
– Lamps (functioning)
– Small bookcases / shelving units (things that can be carried by one person)
– Small Tables (Side, End or Bedside tables)
– Mirrors
– Chairs (kitchen, dining, office)
– Vacuum Cleaners
– Room fans
– Working Computers
– Working Monitors
❌ They cannot accept the following items:

Bulky items that would require two people to carry

Hazardous or electronic waste (paint, batteries, non-functioning electronics etc.)
