DESCRIPTION:Over the coming months\, councillors\, committees\, staff and the public will be discussing the city’s budget for 2022. What do we value? What are our priorities? What kind of city do we want? These are the questions that are answered in a city’s budget. \nThroughout this term of council\, and during previous councils\, the city has prioritized cost-cutting over delivering the services and infrastructure people need. We’re seeing the results: expensive transit\, poor roads\, failing LRT\, missing parks\, lack of public services and more. We need to get city finances back on track. \nTell us what you think. We’ll be hosting a public consultation on Tuesday with councillors Diane Deans\, Riley Brockington and Jean Cloutier. The consultation will run from 7:00 to 8:30 pm over Zoom. You can register here: https://www.shawnmenard.ca/southendbudgetconsultation \n\nAu courant des prochains mois\, les Conseillers\, les comités\, le personnel et le public discuteront du budget de la ville pour l’année 2022. Quelles sont nos valeurs? Quelles sont nos priorités? Quel genre de ville voulons-nous? Nous en voyons les résultats: transport en commun coûteux\, mauvaises routes\, train léger défaillant\, parcs insuffisants\, manque de services publics et plus encore.
