The City of Ottawa is currently developing a Climate Resiliency Strategy. This strategy will identify Ottawa’s largest vulnerabilities and a action plans to mitigate these in the face of climate change. To help the City identify residents’ concerns, the City and CAFES, in partnership with the Riverview Park Community Association, are hosting a Climate Resiliency Workshop in Riverview Park. The goals of this workshop are to:
- provide information on the impacts of climate change and the status of our climate resiliency;
- better understand residents’ climate resiliency concerns;
- improve information sharing between community associations on climate initiatives;
- make the City’s prospective Climate Resiliency Strategy and action plans more attuned to resident concerns.
