We had this happen a few years ago when Hydro One replaced the towers from Balena Park to Coventry Road. We did a little protesting, trying to keep as much of “ our green park” as possible. It worked. We lost a few trees that really impeded their infrequent maintenance, but it was not such a disaster as originally feared. But all residents affected joined up to protest and Hydro One listened.

Bulldozing all the trees and bushes in the corridor will leave a swamp area. Even now the grasses areas are left with puddles and ruts after only one minor storm. The corridor is important for wildlife, green space to enjoy walks with your dog (especially important in these days of covid where all green spaces are used to the Max). As an electricity user I do not want to have hydro one use my dollars in this manner – why mess up something that isn’t a problem?? Children enjoy playing hide and seek around the bushes and the trees absorb carbon diol use to make cities healthier places to live.
Please do not destroy these areas
