You may notice that textile donation bins are beginning to pile up. In order to protect the health and safety of people who collect and tidy these locations, many donation programs have stopped collecting items from their bins. This means some are piling up and becoming a dumping ground and a health risk.

If you have bags of clothes or other textiles to donate, please hang on to them until you know for sure whether someone will be able to pick them up. As it stands, many of these donated items will be unusable and are likely to end up in landfill, which is of no use to anyone.

Those who will undoubtedly need your used clothing down the road will thank you.
