Traffic counts were completed on November 9 at the intersections of Coronation and Weyburn, Botsford and Chomley. These traffic counts were conducted to re-assess the potential for All Way Stop Control (AWSC) at side-street intersections along Coronation Avenue. I have attached the AWSC warrant results from November 9, as well as the previous results that were presented during our Safety Meeting on October 30th.
Unfortunately, the intersections remain unwarranted for AWSC due to insufficient minor street volumes. We have shared this data with our colleague in the Pedestrian Crossover (PXO) department, and have asked him to assess for PXO feasibility along Coronation Ave.

Re. Coronation Ave traffic count
What does a traffic count have to do with the effectiveness of stop signs in reducing speed and prompting driver awareness? It’s time this local councillor did something useful instead of pursuing photo ops.

I find that the traffic on Coronation to be like any other street in Ottawa, it is just fine. I use it every day, sometimes many times a day and have had no problems with any other users. There must be other issues of greater importance than this to occupy the city’s time doing traffic counts.
