An ITC Donation table will be in the park. Drop by before or after the movie with any help you can provide.
Consider a donation (even pocket change will help!) to help our family of 7 Syrian refugees (parents, 2 brothers, sister-in-law, two pre-schoolers) survive in Beirut while waiting for their application to be approved.
It Takes a Community Refugee Action Group (ITC), Emmanuel United Church with the support of the RPCA and the generosity of the community and friends have raised enough funds to sponsor the family for their first year in Canada. These funds are held in trust and cannot be used to help them keep going while their application is in process. But any other donations can be sent directly to the family. They have been waiting a long time and their resources are depleted. We are trying to send some support as often as we can and we are trying our best to speed the approval process.
A donation box will be available. Donations can be made by cash, cheques made out to Lynne Bezanson, Chair of the ITC, or directly to the website below. Any amount will help. Receipts will be issued on request to your e-mail address.
Enjoy the movie and the community spirit!
With sincere thanks from the family and the ITC
