Sadik-Khan, during her tenure as Transportation Commissioner, implemented an ambitious program to improve street safety, mobility, and sustainability throughout New York City. She oversaw a series of innovative projects, including:
·       creating more pedestrian space in Times Square,
·       the addition of nearly four hundred miles of bicycle lanes, and
·       the installation of more than sixty plazas citywide.
To help Ottawa join the Urban Revolution, Sadik-Khan will share tips on how to rethink, reinvigorate and redesign our city for safer, more livable streets.
Ecology Ottawa, in partnership with Lowertown Community Association, the Riverview Park Community Association and several other community groups is proud to co-sponsor this exciting evening with Janette Sadik-Khan.
